St Albans Town Centre Wins National Mainstreet Australia Award

St Albans Town Centre has won a Mainstreet Australia Award for the 2021 Digital Lunar Festival - recognised nationally for innovation, creativity, and community impact on a budget under $100,000.

We’re thrilled to announce that St Albans Town Centre has been recognised nationally by Mainstreet Australia - taking home the Program Initiative, Activity or Event Award for projects with a budget under $100,000 (Special Rate).

The winning project? Our 2021 Digital Lunar Festival, which brought St Albans' vibrant cultural celebration online for the first time in its history.

Delivered in partnership with Perm Temp, the digital event showcased everything that makes our precinct special: culture, community, resilience, and innovation. With live performances, community interviews, local businesses, and rich cultural storytelling, the online festival received over 4,400 views and brought people together during a time of isolation.

This award recognises the vision, hard work, and heart poured into reimagining our annual festival - and we couldn’t be prouder of what our community achieved.
